We had a lot of fun for Connor's birthday. We celebrated Connor's 4th Birthday for 3 days. Lucky kid. The first day we took him to see thomas the train. Which he loved. Although I think it is a lot of money for a short train ride. Oh well. Connor thought it was the best thing ever. Then the night before Connor's birthday we had a party for my side of the family and a couple of friends. Then Connor's actual birthday was Memorial Day so we celebrated with Brady's side of the family because they always do a BBQ for Memorial Day. So Connor was a little bit spoiled this year. Merry Christmas

I wanted to tell everyone Merry Christmas!! Sorry we didn't send out Christmas cards this year. So here is my blog Christmas card, I saw some other people doing this so I guess it is okay.

This year has been a challenging year for our family, but we have stuck together and made it through. We hope that our next year will be better and full of learning, love and growth.

I wanted to share the quote on the back of the Ensign this month, President Henry B. Eyring wrote the following. Rebecca's Wedding

A few pictures of the wedding day..Connor and Burt held the rings. They are so cute!

This whole month has just flown bye...mostly because it was all a wedding month. Rebecca and Jon got married on 9/9/2009 and it was a beautiful ceremony up in the mountains in Aspen. This place fit Jon and Rebecca, since they love the outdoors. The place is called the Maroon Bells, you should google it. The place was Amazing...wow. I have no more words for it. I'm glad they are married now and happy. They had 3 receptions..one in Aspen, Ogden and Spokane. I made them a wedding cake for the Aspen and Ogden open house. Both cakes turned out beautifully.

I tried to put the pictures in order but apparently I can't get this blog to work the way I want it to. I guess you can just figure out the real order of the pictures. Sorry.

My sister is getting married!!

I have great news..my sister is finally engaged!! I'm so excited for her! She has been dating the same guy for the last 3 years so it's about time...lol

They are having an open house on the 5th of September here in Utah. So if you would like an invitation to that please let me know. They will be getting married in Aspen, Colorado on the 9th of September. So it is coming up really quick!! So that is my wonderful news! Have a great day! (Hopefully, I'll be able to add more later like some pictures, my camera is not allowing me to put pictures on my computer and I don't know why.)

Easter Sunday

We celebrated Easter Sunday with Brady's parents and his mom's side of the family. Also, we celebrated my sister-in-law Katie's Birthday. So we had lots of food and dessert! Here are a couple of cute pictures from the day.

Easter Egg Hunt

Every year Grandma Green has an Easter egg hunt for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She fills up plastic eggs with change, candy and sometimes you can get the golden egg. This year Connor picked up the golden egg and it had $20 dollars in it! I was so excited! Anyhow, Connor loved gathering the eggs and he loved all the candy. He is so cute! Every time I'd take Connor's picture he either wasn't paying much attention or he'd give me a big "C..H..E..E..S..E. " Along with a cheesy grin!! It is pretty funny!

Okay, so I guess some people out there have been too busy to come and see our new home that we've been in for a year now. I've been asked to post some pictures of our house. The top picture is our new home that was built in September 2007 and we got it brand new!! The bottom picture is our old house that we lived in for 3 1/2 years. We went from having 1,439 sq feet to having 2,300 sq feet. That has been a huge difference! Now that you've seen the outside of my house I hope you decide to come and say hi sometime to see the inside!

Just a funny story...you decide if it's true or not

Yesterday I was buying 2 large bags of Purina dog chow at Wal-Mart, for my dogs Bubba and Annie.

I was about to check out when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think, that I had an elephant?

Since I had little else to do, on impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time. On the bright side though, I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of every hole in my body and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was enthralled with my story by now.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food had poisoned me. I told her no; I had stopped in the middle of the parking lot to lick my butt and a car hit me.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard!

WAL-MART won't let me shop there anymore.

So Bill always makes these faces that crack me up..and let me tell you it worked on Connor too! It was really funny! I wish I had it on video. Oh well!

On our way home, our trip was fun but the flight home was not! Connor was so tired he cried the whole way then he fell asleep as we were about ready to land. Let me tell you, it is not easy to fly with your child alone. I had to try and carry him and our stuff off the plane. Lucky for me two nice men asked if they could help me and took my bags for me. Thank goodness for nice people out there. Then Connor woke up as soon as I put him in his stroller and we had to wait for brady to pick us up 3 hours later. He was in Northern Utah doing a job and it took him forever to come and get us. So that is the end of our trip to Spokane.

Fair

We went to the fair and rode the rides mostly the kid ones with Connor! It was still fun! Rebecca came up for a couple of the days I was there so she went to the fair with us too. We also saw the animals and Connor pointed at all of them and just kept saying"look." It was really cute! He loved the horses the most and points at any horse we see now. So that was the fair..yummy food..rides..booths and animals. Oh and we also saw the hypnotist who several years ago at the fair hypnotised me. I have a video it's pretty funny! However, I'm not posting that on here. Too bad for you!

Grandpa Bill wheeled Connor around in a wheel barrow and Connor didn't want to get out. So Bill brought out the big dump truck and they started playing with those. Connor loves his Grandpa's.

Connor's First Plane Ride

In September, Connor and I flew to Spokane to visit my mom and step dad. The ride up there wasn't too bad. Connor was so curious about everything. As soon as I pulled the tray down for the snack, he wouldn't leave it alone. I thought for sure the guy sitting in front of him was going to get mad, but he never said a word. It was pretty funny how as soon as the guy in front of us pulled the window shade down connor thought his had to be down and wouldn't let me open it the whole plane ride. The funniest part was when the plane had landed and I went to get our bags and was waiting to exit the plane. Connor hands me this round object and I just sat there like where on earth did this come from. Then this lady started laughing that was standing next to me and said that he unscrewed it from the roof. Yep it was the light that you use to read. I had no idea those unscrewed and for connor to figure it out in 2 seconds. Crazy! Okay so that was pretty entertaining! This picture below connor was listening to music! It didn't last too long... The picture above is looking at the plane before we boarded. Connor was excited!

My mom and stepdad came for a visit from WA and we were folding up the air bed when Connor wanted to help deflate it . He was jumping on it and then we had him sit in it to go for a ride. He thought this was so much fun!! I wish someone would carry me around! hahaha

It's Saturday night...yep not much going on. Isn't that the pits! I really want to go do something but Brady isn't feeling well! His chest is bothering him and he doesn't know what he did. I think he may have broken a rib because he complains every time he moves. Hopefully what ever is hurting will heal soon because I'm getting tired of doing nothing. So here I am posting a blog for the heck of it. I do have a really cute picture of Connor I took. The other night I was making a dessert for relief society and I gave him the spatula. He hasn't ever licked one before and as soon as he did he wouldn't stop. It was really cute!

A Milestone for Me

Well, for a lot of people that know me. I am not one to hold babies, I have a really hard time with them. I'm not sure why but maybe one day I'll figure it out. Anyhow, My sister Rebecca and I went to see our friend Karlia who had a baby last week. I actually held her baby Alexia Ruth Lopez, she is really cute and really tiny. I couldn't get over how small and fragile she is. For those that know when I had Connor he was 10 Lbs and 1 oz. So.. I guess to me this was really weird holding a 7 Lb baby. Alright, you can stop laughing at me I know you probably had a 7 Lb baby and you thought they were big! Well, I just wanted to share the pictures because I look cute..alright Alexia does too.

As I sat there holding this baby, I was thinking how amazing it is to bring gifts from God into this world. The fragile little spirits who will look up to you in ever way. Congrats Karlia! You will be a great mom!

Connor's Birthday May 31st

Connor turned 2 years old!! I can't believe how much he has grown and how smart he is. Well, anyhow I made his birthday cake this year as Lightening McQueen. It turned out really well! I was truly nervous that I would still be working on this cake when his party started. Somehow, I managed to finish it 30 minutes before everyone arrived.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any pictures of Connor smiling which is really odd because he always gives me cheesy grins. He liked his new swimsuit and held it up for me to see.

The red wagon I think was his favorite he helped put it together and then he went for a ride in it. Well, it turned out to be a good party and Connor was so spoiled!

Sad News

Sad news, after 30 years of working as a photographer and struggling to make ends meat my dad is moving out of his studio. He has finally decided that he just isn't making the money he needs to support himself or his new family. I'm sad for him but excited for the opportunity he will have of trying new things. He still will do on location only photos. For those of you out there that would like a really good photographer that has been doing pictures for over 30 years. Please consider my dad. He is a pro at this! Let me know and I'll give you his information to get a hold of him.

Connor Loves Dogs

Last Thursday I bought a whole bunch of flowers and decided to plant them. While I was busy planting away connor was playing with our dog sadie. My next door neighbor left her house and I waved at her. Not even 5 minutes had passed and connor runs to her door with sadie. Well, I assumed that he was just ringing the door bell and that was fine because I knew nobody was home for him to bother. A couple of minutes passed and I started calling out his name, I got no answer so I called for sadie...no answer. So I walk over to my neighbors door, which was shut and I knocked. All I got was dogs barking at me. So I tried the door and it opened, I yelled hello to make sure no one was there. I got greeted by the neighbor's 2 dogs and sadie. I tried to get passed them all to see if connor was in there and sure enough he is seating on their couch grining ear to ear. He thought he was so funny!! Connor will do anything to play with dogs! I finally got him and sadie outside without the other dogs following. It was quite the chore!

Life..it sure gets crazy sometimes. Especially when you are raising a little stud. Yep.. that's right my kid is a stud. He is going to be a heart breaker. When Connor and I go out everyone notices his eyes. Complete strangers give him compliments. It's crazy...but so true. He's eyes are big and brown and full of trouble. Brady and I as parents sure do enjoy watching him grow up. I can't believe he is almost a year and a half. Where did the time go?
